Directed by Mohan Raja, Thani Oruvan stars Jayam Ravi, Nayanthara, and Arvind Swamy in lead roles. The film was a blockbuster, and the sequel promises a new cat-and-mouse chase game that makes us intrigued and explores the works of a criminal mastermind. The sequel once again reunites Jayam Ravi and Mohan Raja.

Directed by Pa Ranjith, Sarpatta Parambarai, released in 2021, was a huge success. The film left a long-lasting impact, and the sequel to the film is currently in the making. Actor Arya has also started his fitness journey for the film, and it is expected that the second part of the film will have an engaging story.

Actor Arya had a bad run in 2023 as his film Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam bit the dust with poor response from all quarters. His much-anticipated horror series, directed by Milind Rau, also failed to make a mark. However, Arya has two promising films lined up for 2024– Manu Anand’s Mr X and Pa Ranjith’s Sarpatta Parambarai 2. Looks like Arya will ‘cut’ for both films as he has begun his training already.

Both Arya and Pa Ranjith have expressed their disappointment with the film not getting a proper theatrical release. However, with the second part in the making, Kabilan will make his entry on the big screen. Pa Ranjith is currently busy with the post-production of Thangalaan, and he is expected to team up with Ranjith soon.
