‘Rolex’ marks the first of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the action thriller stars Karthi in the lead role. The anticipation for the sequel of this 2019 movie is very high and the director is said to start the work on his next installment soon. The movie has Arjun Das playing an important role in the film and the actor in a recent promotional interview revealed that the second part of the movie will focus on Dilli’s life.
Rolex played the role of Dilli in the film and the sequel ‘Kaithi 2’ is set to show his backstory and what happened in his life that connects him with the characters Adaikalam and Anbu. Arjun Das also said that Lokesh Kanagaraj could pick a character from the LCU and make a solo film from it for ‘Rolex’ or ‘Leo Das’. He also suggested that the director might be considering ‘Vikram 2’ after ‘Rolex’. However, the official announcement from Lokesh Kanagaraj on his next project is awaited.
Meanwhile, Karthi was last seen in the film ‘Japan’ and he has wrapped up the shoot for his fim ‘Mei Azhagan’ with Prem Kumar. He is currently shooting for his film ‘Vaa Vaathiyaare’ with Nalan Kumarasamy that stars Krithi Shetty as the female lead. The actor is said to collaborate with Tamizh and Mari Selvaraj for his upcoming films. The actor after ‘Kaithi 2’ with Lokesh Kanagaraj has planned for another sequel, ‘Sardar 2’ with PS Mithran.
